About Us

Helping NDIS Participants Move Freely & Live Pain-Free

At Upward Physiotherapy, we focus on long-term treatments rather than quick fixes. Our programs are designed to address the root cause of movement challenges, whether it’s chronic pain, neurological conditions, or post-surgical recovery. Through a combination of targeted exercises, hands-on therapy and education, we empower clients to improve their health, mobility and well-being.

Our Story

Upward Physiotherapy was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide high-quality, personalised physiotherapy care that empowers individuals to live their best lives. Sam Shearer, our founder, saw that many people with chronic pain, disabilities, and mobility challenges were not receiving the long-term support they needed.

With a background in both clinical physiotherapy and research, Sam combined his expertise to create an approach that is evidence-based, patient-centred, and results-driven. From humble beginnings, Upward Physiotherapy has grown into a trusted provider of physiotherapy services, helping NDIS participants regain mobility, independence, and confidence.

We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality care, no matter their circumstances. Whether it’s through tailored exercise programs, mobility aid prescriptions, or rehabilitation, we are committed to making a real difference in the lives of our clients.
